Men with prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome
are needed to participate in studies in order to help us understand this condition!

Clinical trials available now. Male Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome study. Do you
experience pain in the genital or pelvic region?

McGill University Health Center and the Department of Urology at the Jewish
General Hospital are seeking men over the age of 18 who experience pain in
the genital or pelvic region to participate in research to better explain this
problem.

The study involves answering questionnaires and a session which will last
around 1.5 to 2 hours.

Participation during the session includes:

1. a structured interview;
2. a sensory testing session;
3. a urology examination;
4. urine samples.

Some minor pain may be experienced during the procedures, but no other
health risks are posed. Participants will be reimbursed $50 for their expenses.

This study is directed by Dr. Y. M. Binik, Department of Psychology, McGill
University, Sex and Couple Therapy Service, McGill University Health Center
