Guidelines for submitting information for display on this site

Original copy for display at prostatitis.org is gratefully accepted. Scientific researchers, medical doctors, and prostatitis patients are all encouraged to write essays on topics of their choice which may appear on this site as individual pages. However, the webmaster and The Prostatitis Foundation (TPF) retain ownership of this site and final say.
Observing the following guidelines will smooth the submission process:
  • Copy (proposed text) is submitted by sending e-mail directly to the webmaster. Please clearly identify such copy in the subject line.
  • Copy is accepted in all text files only; no .html files. Text files can be attached or included in the body of the e-mail.
  • Appropriate graphics files (".jpg" and ".gif" only please) may be sent as attachments. Graphics files also are subject to editorial review.
  • No FAXed copy accepted.
  • Copy is accepted for new pages only.
  • Copy is subject to editing by the webmaster.
  • Copy is subject to rejection if deemed inappropriate or off topic by the webmaster.
  • Suggestions for changes to existing pages on this site may be submitted to the webmaster.
  • Authors can request final editorial say. Since the webmaster and TPF retain ownership, this means that all parties must agree on final edited versions of new pages before they appear.
  • Authors should sign their work and make available an e-mail address where they will accept comments and respond to questions from patients and doctors.
  • Anonymous authors' work may be accepted, but an e-mail link for responses must be provided.
  • All copy submitted becomes the editorial property of TPF and TPF retains all rights, except where copyright is retained by author through negotiation.
  • Authors must refrain from including full text of copyrighted material by third parties in any submission. The correct way to handle this is by including a link to the web location of such third party material.
  • Proposed links in new copy should be enclosed in carets "<" , ">" immediately following the linked text. Linked text should be enclosed in brackets "[" , "]" Example:
New copy from [the devil himself]<http://www.satan.org> may be rejected.
  • Any questions should be submitted to the webmaster.
