All images are scanned in from high resolution sonographyprint-outs, cropped, scaled down and compressed to 16-color greyscale "gif"-formatin order to reduce file size and transmission speed. Viewing the image fileswith a graphic program like PaintPro or LView will, in most instances, yieldbetter image quality. Nonetheless, considerable loss of resolution has to beaccepted due to this image-processing.
With Netscape 2.0, it is necessaryto configure the way images are processed and displayed: click "Options",then "General preferences", then the "Image"-tab and,finally, "dithered".
This image collection is under constructionand will gradually be completed.
